Mimosa Bay
Mimosa Bay is a masterplanned neighborhood featuring 1/2 to 1 acre wooded lots, a clubhouse, tennis facility and boat ramp along with boat and RV storage. There are currently a number of new homes being built in the neighborhood by both Savvy Homes and other area builders.
Savvy homes is building homes all over 3,000 sq. ft. in size with tons of upgrades and amenities. These homes are open floorplans with 2 car garages and are really something special.
Mimosa Bay was originally developed in 2005 and did very well selling lots to individuals, mostly who purchased for investment. Because of this we didn’t see a whole lot of home building going on in the neighborhood. In the begining of 2010 area builders were able to purchase lots at prices that allowed them to bring homes in at prices the market would be receptive to. With home prices now starting in the mid $200′s and topping out at $325,000 there has been a lot of building activity with over 20 homes now currently under construction in the neighborhood.
The clubhouse facility was completed in 2008 along with the tennis courts, the boat ramp was built when the neighborhood was originally
developed and the neighborhood pool is still planned and we’ve been told it’s scheduled to break ground next summer.
While the original plan of Mimosa turning into a high-end neighborhood with homes starting in the $400′s didn’t quite turn out as planned,you are now able to get the same high end amenities at a much lower price point which makes Mimosa a great value in the area.
